Red-faced from the cold, hair partly frozen - and giddily happy
gliding along on a cross-country path in Sallatunturi.
The temperature varied between -30 and -15 degrees Celsius (-22 F and +5 F,
I think). Not really THAT cold; and not as cold as it gets here. It's nicely
dry. The lowest temperature I heard
of in the area was minus 45 degrees Celsius (-49 degrees F).
