Walking in the woods in Alavus, Finland I came upon this birdhouse. It stood nearly 5 feet tall. The little house itself was beautifully built and was carefully detailed. It was perched the top of a branch so curved and top heavy it looked as though it could not really stand. But it did. Like the surprise move of a dancer. For a base, the branch had been snugly fit into a crevice in a large piece of granite rock.
