This piece is based on
seeing birds roost at dusk in the bare branches surrounding Stowe Lake in
Golden Gate Park. They are in profile and can barely be discerned from the
lake's water which is faceted by westerlies blowing in off the ocean.
The imagery is a mixture
of abstract and figurative elements.
I selected water as theme
as this lobby opens out to a plaza with water sculpture both for beauty and
for street noise buffer. |
